Another early start having to be on the bus by 8am this time we only just made it. Nathan my room mate didn't make, he was to hung over from last night. But Casper and I were determined to get on the bus as we really wanted to do the bike ride out at Edam. And guess what... WE MADE IT.
We got to Edam which is about 30 minutes out of Amsterdam and we biked using what they call "granny bikes" and cruised around the countryside of Edam (where the cheese comes from) and went past windmills waving to locals. That ride took about 45 minutes then we headed to a cheese and clog factory where we were showed how cheese and clogs were made, and we also got to taste all the cheese.
Once this had finished we headed into Amsterdam town where we went to go to the Van Gogh museum but once again the cue was so long the wait was about 3 hours. Being easter it was really busy, so I'm planning on heading back there with Candice. Anyway.... as a result we went to the Heineken brewery and that is the best brewery tour I've been on where there is a 4D motion master and heaps of interactive things to play with.
After that we headed back to the hotel and got some downtime which was probably the 1st time on the tour. Around 6pm we headed into town and for dinner I got the BEST pancakes ever!!! Bacon pancakes with salami, cheese, tomato. AMAZING. Once we finished dinner we all had to meet at a bar called the grasshopper and then headed to the red light district where we went to a live sex show. OMG this is so funny! I"m really glad we all went as a group else I would've felt like a seedy old man. None the less it was a really funny show though! Positions I have never even seen before!
Once that had finished we were free to roam around and do what we want. So we met up with the other tour group at a bar called balushis and partied. I got back to the hotel about 1am as once I get to a point to drunkness I just want to go to sleep. I think I was probably one of the 1st to get back!
Well, 12 hour bus ride tomorrow morning! woo hoo!
